Every year (on the first Thursday of May) the Methven Lions host a Golf Tournament at the Methven Golf Course.
It is open to men and women, the entry fee (currently $30 per head) also includes a meal in the evening. During the social time and meal prizes are awarded. Many local businesses donate generous items which are raffled off after the meal.
All proceeds are donated to a charitable cause.
