Mt Hutt Open Day
Discover Mt Hutt is a community with members of the Methven Lions Club, Mt Hutt Ski Area staff, and the bus drivers of Methven Travel all giving their time to welcome visitors to the mountain. All proceeds are distributed to community groups and causes by the Methven Lions Charitable Trust.
Mt Hutt’s six-seater chairlift will carry families, walkers and bikers to the summit where, weather permitting, they will be able to enjoy unrivaled views of the Southern Alps and Canterbury Plains.
Visitors will be able to descent on the chairlift or walk or bike down from the summit. Music on the deck will be set up to entertain visitors. Coffee bar, licensed café and the Lions famous BBQ will all be operating on the day.
